Since its completion in 2014, Bosco Verticale in Milan (Boeri Studio) has become the prototype of a new architectural typology, which has evolved into multiple declinations worldwide across different climatic and social contexts. These include Trudo Vertical Forest (Netherlands, 2021), Huanggang Vertical Forest (Huanggang, 2021), and Wonderwoods Vertical Forest (Utrecht, 2025).
During the episode, Stefano Boeri (from minute 18:46 onward) reflects on the origins of Bosco Verticale as an experimental prototype for integrating living nature into high-density cities, addressing architecture’s responsibility in responding to environmental challenges.
