xxv iufro world congress
forest research and cooperation for sustainable development

In Curitiba, Brazil, Stefano Boeri Architetti takes part in the XXV IUFRO World Congress, which has various aspects linked to forest research as leading actors.

The International Union of Forest Research Organizations – IUFRO, is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-discriminatory institution with the mission to promote research, knowledge sharing, and development of science-based solutions to forest-related challenges for the benefit of both forests and people around the world.

Within the session “Forest for People” of which Stefano Boeri Architetti  is a keynote speaker, attention is focused on the social, cultural and economic aspects of the management and use of forest resources, on landscape planning and management and nature protection. This Congress session also explores the links between human well-being and quality of life related to environmental, economic and social goods and services, provided by forests both within urban and rural dynamics.
