From February 25 to 27, 2026, BTM Italia 2026—an ISFCERT-certified international tourism fair aimed at promoting an integrated model of global tourism promotion—will take place in Bari, with the participation of Stefano Boeri.
The twelfth edition, themed Re-Generate: Two Faces, One Vision, invites participants to imagine and build a new form of tourism rooted in an authentic and precious heritage, yet capable of renewal. It represents a bridge between two worlds, two dimensions that do not oppose each other but instead coexist and nourish one another, creating a dynamic balance and a shared vision of a sustainable and respectful future.
On Thursday, February 26, Stefano Boeri will give a lectio magistralis titled From World Park to Parco Italia, focusing on the project by Stefano Boeri Architetti and AlberItalia inspired by the broader Green Urban Oases reforestation initiative, and will then examine other urban and architectural reforestation projects in Italy and in Bari.
The core concept of the Plan stems from the idea of treating the forest—and more specifically trees—as full-fledged inhabitants rather than distant guests in relation to our reality, thus fostering a new alliance between forests and the city. Parco Italia therefore places reforestation at its center, seeking to address the threat of climate change through a shared approach consistent with the strategies outlined in the recent European Climate Decree and characterized by global governance, so that everyone’s actions can multiply their effectiveness.
