Impakter, an online magazine dedicated to sustainable development, dedicates an article to the role of living nature in counteracting pollution in cities, with a special focus on innovative methods such as, for example, the Miyawaki method, the idea of a Japanese botanist, which has led to the creation of 3,000 micro-forests around the world.

This type of approach, aimed at urban forestation to improve living conditions in the city, is described in some of its most successful declinations, including the Bosco Verticale in Milan, designed by Boeri Studio (Stefano Boeri, Gianandrea Barreca, Giovanni La Varra) in 2014 as a new architecture of biodiversity, housing vegetation equivalent to that of 30,000 square metres of forest and undergrowth, concentrated on 3,000 square metres of urban area.
