DONNA MODERNA
THE ART RECOVERED AFTER EARTHQUAKE

November 22nd, 2017

34 works recovered from debris of Amatrice and Accumoli are the protagonists of a fascinating review in Rome. Entitled, not by chance, Rinascite (Rebirths). To show the precious process of recovery of the artworks after the earthquake of August 24th, 2016. And let the cultural heritage of a territory  yet unknown to tourists become more popular. “These are the two goals of the Rebirths exhibition, dedicated to the  monuments of Accumoli and Amatrice and just inaugurated at Diocletian Baths,” explains Daniela Porro, director of the Roman National Museum and curator, together with Alessandra Acconci, of the exhibition designed by Stefano Boeri Architettialready engaged in the reconstruction of the places destroyed by the earthquake. The 34 exhibited works of art representing 700 years of local history at the end of the exhibition will be returned to the citizens, reaching over 3,000 saved artefacts, kept at the Carabinieri Forest School of Cittaducale (Ri). And we can all contribute to their preservation through a donation at Art bonus (info on artbonus.gov.it)
