“The studio Stefano Boeri Architetti announces the construction of the new green building: Trudo Vertical Forest will rise in Eindhoven, Netherlands and will be destined to social housing”. Among the most influent magazines that already featured the project, Artribune as well speaks about the debut of the Vertical Forest in social housing. The Trudo Vertical Forest will be built in one of the greenest cities in the Netherlands, in order to bring there an example of innovation facing the ecological and socio-economic issues.

To emphasize this concept, Artribune reports a statement of Stefano Boeri: “The high-rise building of Eindhoven confirms that it is possible to combine the great challenges of climate change with those of housing shortages. Urban forestry is not only necessary to improve the environment of the world’s cities but also an opportunity to improve the living conditions of less fortunate city dwellers”. This project will join the family of Vertical Forests already realized or under construction – in Milan, Nanjing, Utrecht, Tirana and Lausanne. Just a few months ago the studio has presented La Forêt Blanche that will rise in the heart of Villiers sur Marne district, in Paris. The french tower will be covered by 2000 trees, shrubs and plants, summing up to a surface 10 times bigger than the footprint of the building.
