The industry website ArchDaily publishes an article dedicated to the Depositi delle Vittorie project, conceived by Stefano Boeri Architetti with the aim of regenerating a crucial urban hub in Rome, through the architectural recovery of the former ATAC depot and the integration of new green spaces and services for the community.
Within an area of 16,000 sqm, the project proposes a variety of commercial, cultural and leisure activities: a multifunctional hub where creative spaces coexist with commercial and hospitality activities and, above all, with greenery.
Among the most significant aspects of the project, an 8,000 sqm hanging park, suspended at a height of 15 metres, offers a green perspective over the streets and pedestrian squares below.
The integration of plants and trees in an area of Rome characterised by a strongly mineral appearance contributes significantly to increasing biodiversity and regulating the local microclimate, creating a more comfortable environment for residents. The landscape has been designed to be dynamic and ever-changing, with square groves and panoramic terraces, while the “green rooms”, with their variety of heights and shades, are configured as true vegetal sculptures, capable of offering visitors diverse experiences as the seasons change.
