On Monday, March 16 at 8:30 a.m., the conference “Stat Roma Pristina Nomine” takes place at the Curia Iulia in Rome. The event is organized in collaboration with the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of Rome and Province, the Colosseum Archaeological Park, and 4A of the Accademia Adrianea, and features the participation of Stefano Boeri.
The meeting is dedicated to projects aimed at enhancing the Monumental Archaeological Center of Rome, with a particular focus on the Colosseum Archaeological Park. International scholars and designers will discuss intervention strategies in archaeological contexts, addressing issues of conservation, museography, and design, while exploring the role of architecture in enabling public engagement with historical heritage.
Within this framework, during the second session, moderated by Simone Quilici, Director of the Colosseum Archaeological Park, Stefano Boeri participates in a conversation with Federica Rinaldi (National Roman Museum) and Barbara Nazzaro (Colosseum Archaeological Park). The discussion also examines several projects by Stefano Boeri Architetti related to the redevelopment of archaeological heritage, particularly in Rome, such as the New Access to the Domus Aurea (2021).
Other participants in the second session include Massimo Alvisi, Sara Ciarimboli and Roberto Fioretti (Alvisi Kirimoto) in conversation with Nicola Saraceno and Francesca Boldrighini (Colosseum Archaeological Park); Maria Claudia Clemente and Francesco Isidori (Labics) in conversation with Sara Perretta (Colosseum Archaeological Park); and Amedeo Schiattarella (Schiattarella Associati) in conversation with Matteo Pieretti (Colosseum Archaeological Park).
