francesca cesa bianchi al convegno albania nel terzo millennio

On Wednesday 8 March for Italian Design Day, the Italian Cultural Institute presents the conference Albania in the Third Millennium. Architecture, City, Territory, with the participation of Francesca Cesa Bianchi, partner and director of Stefano Boeri Architetti.

The event opens at 9.00 a.m. with institutional greetings by Andrea Maliqari, Rector of the Polytechnic University of Tirana; Albana Tole, Deputy Minister of Education and Sport; Luigi Mattirolo, Deputy Italian Embassy in Albania; Alessandro Ruggera, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Tirana and Carlo Bianchini, Pro-rector Sapienza University of Rome.
At 11.30 a.m., Arch. Cesa Bianchi will speak to illustrate the projects of studio Stefano Boeri Architetti, with a look at the interventions on different scales developed in Albania – from the Three New Schools for Tirana to the masterplan for the Riverside district.
Moderator: Loreta Çapeli, professor at Tirana Polytechnic.

The conference aims to encourage a debate on architecture and urban planning in Albania, in the conviction that the development processes of modern Albania, to which both Italian and Albanian scholars, architects and engineers have contributed, will be able to emerge in the debate in order to investigate its various aspects, even more than has been done to date.
