On Friday, June 26 at 9:30 AM at the LAGA Auditorium, AMATRICE “…il paese non c’è più…” takes place — an event dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the 2016 earthquake that struck Central Italy, featuring the participation of Stefano Boeri.
Following an introduction by the President of the College of Surveyors and GL of Rieti, a series of expert speakers and industry professionals will address the anniversary of the earthquake and take stock of the actions and solutions still to be implemented.
In this context, Stefano Boeri will present via online connection the projects Polo del Gusto, inaugurated in 2017, and Casa Futuro, currently under construction. Site visits are planned at both locations — at 12:30 PM at the Casa Futuro construction site, and at 1:30 PM at the Polo del Gusto.
Both projects stand as a symbol of rebirth for Amatrice: places of solidarity and new spaces offering residents the opportunity to start again.
Among the other participants: Mons. Vito Piccinonna, Bishop of Rieti; Giorgio Cortellesi, Mayor of Amatrice; Sen. Guido Castelli, Extraordinary Commissioner for 2016 Earthquake Reconstruction; Arch. Manuela Rinaldi, Councillor for Public Works, Reconstruction Policies, Roads and Infrastructure of the Lazio Region; Roberta Cuneo, President of the Province of Rieti.
