The main Chinese national TV channel CCTV2 dedicated to economics and finance interviewed the architect Stefano Boeri and the agronomist Laura Gatti who guided the journalist through the main characteristics of the Milan Vertical Forest. An iconic skyscraper of the new generation is able to transform the cities into sustainable ecosystems, improve the quality of life in urban areas, significantly counteract air pollution and regenerate urban biodiversity.
“The idea is to incorporate living nature into architecture, not as an ornament, but as an essential element of the building’s facade” – the architect explained to the journalist Li Yaoyang.
Speaking of the botanical aspect, Laura Gatti emphasized: “This vegetation system has been designed to change a lot during the seasons and to reconnect us with the natural lifecycle, so it is extremely interesting not only for those who live in the Vertical Forest, but also for all the citizens”.
