Sa Casa su Pambianco

The Pambianco News website, in its real estate section, dedicates an article to the Sa Casa project, developed by Stefano Boeri Architetti for Entidad Estatal de Vivienda, Casa 47, in Ibiza. It is organized into four residential volumes housing around 190 apartments, arranged around a shared open green space conceived as the heart of collective life. The development stands out for its high typological diversity and modular organization, which facilitates the adaptability of the housing units to universal accessibility requirements.

Modularity is the organizing principle of the project: the residential units are designed as flexible spaces, reconfigurable over time and able to adapt to different needs and users — young people, families, and people with reduced mobility — while guaranteeing full accessibility. The same system makes it possible to redefine, over time, the relationship between homes, shared workspaces, and common areas without compromising the overall architectural identity, allowing the complex to evolve alongside the needs of its residents.

“The Ibiza project is strategic for the future of European cities, because it proposes social housing that uses wooden prefabrication according to a modular system that can be readapted to different contexts. Green, wooden, modular residential architecture that is accessible to all is the real, major answer for public urban regeneration policies,” says Stefano Boeri.
