The online publication Infobuild Energia devotes an article to Ca’ delle Alzaie, Stefano Boeri Architetti’s renovation project of a former manufacturing area of about 11,000 square meters near the historic center of Treviso.
The project, in addition to becoming an element of reconnecting the suburbs with the historic center, contributes to implementing urban forestation strategies in Treviso, thanks to the project’s more than two hectares of greenery and the presence of 400 low-trunk plants and 170 trees, 120 of which are on the facades.
In fact, the intervention aims to maximize the area devoted to public or private greenery: greenery occupies 51 percent of the total area in which the building complex stands, about 40 times the area of greenery present before the intervention.
