Stefano Boeri interviewed by the Dutch newspapaer Eindhovens Dagbalg: “Trudo Vertical Forest in Eindhoven, which will be built in the former industrial district of the Philips headquarters, is the first Vertical Forest in social housing, intended for popular users. The tower will host in its 19 floors the apartments for families and young people who, paying a reduced rent, will experience the presence in their balconies of hundreds of trees and plants of the most varied species. Trudo Vertical Forest in Eindhoven confirms the possibility of merging the major challenges of climate change with those of social housing. Urban Forestry is not just a necessity to improve the urban environment all over the world, but an opportunity to improve the living conditions of citizens with lower spending possibilities“.
