Abitare published an overview about classic form in contemporary design, including among other design items Mettitutto, the piece of furniture designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti for Annibale Colombo. The collaboration bewtween Boeri and Colombo led to the revival of a piece of furniture that is part of Italian domestic tradition.
“Mettitutto is part of a capsule collection devoted to storage units and is the versatile heir of the classic food and plate storage unit (or Madia), designed for use in different settings: kitchen, living room, sleeping area and even the office. This product runs along a kind of parallel course with respect to traditional production and is also the first product of a dedicated division (so that will also find the company’s products on design stands). Made using the techniques which were those master craftsmen, it has a wooden frame, glass shelves and box-shaped containers of various sizes.”
