Stefano Boeri a Deportibus

From May 10th to 12th, DePortibus – The Ports Festival Connecting the World takes place in La Spezia, an European event dedicated to port activity, featuring the participation of Stefano Boeri.

The festival, conceived by RES Comunicazione, is organized by Italian Blue Growth and the Port Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea, with the endorsement and support of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and with the sponsorship and support of RAM, the Municipality of La Spezia, the Liguria Region, Carispezia Foundation, and the Italian Navy.

On Saturday, May 11th at 2:30 PM, Stefano Boeri will participate in the event “These Places Facing the Sea,” focusing on projects worldwide that have shaped the evolution of ports and their architectural and urban impact. The event will feature a dialogue with Walter Mariotti, director of Domus, moderated by Paolo Marcesini, director of Italia Circolare.

The theme of ports, linked to infrastructure and coastal systems, is a subject addressed by some visions and projects of Stefano Boeri Architetti, which will be presented at the event, such as the masterplan for the waterfront of Cagliari. This proposal aims to restore the social and environmental value of Cagliari’s waterfront through a green promenade that recalls the original 19th-century function of Via Roma. Drawing from the Cagliari tradition of tree-lined avenues, the project defines a continuous, pedestrian, and shaded public space that serves as a “green lung” and connector, both longitudinally between the FFSS Station and Piazza Ingrao, and transversally between the city and the sea.
