From 2026, Stefano Boeri Architetti officially becomes a frontrunner of Built by Nature, a non-profit organization based in Amsterdam committed to transforming the built environment by promoting the responsible use of timber and other biobased materials in construction.
The Built by Nature network brings together developers, architects, engineers, property owners, investors, public authorities, researchers, and policymakers to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation in the field of timber and biobased material construction – including members such as Arup, BoKlok, Lendlease, CREE Buildings, Centre for Natural Material Innovation (Cambridge University), Ramboll, Forest Lab – University of Milan, and Circle Wood.
The organization also provides free resources, such as white papers and research on timber and biobased materials, through its Knowledge Hub, a space dedicated to sharing practical tools for professionals and stakeholders in the sector.
Moreover, Built by Nature promotes initiatives such as global awards for innovation in biobased materials and supports national projects and networks (for example, in Italy, in collaboration with the Green Building Council Italia) to accelerate the adoption of sustainable construction practices worldwide.
