Stefano Boeri art for tomorrow

On Tuesday, April 14, at 5:00 PM, the Civic Aquarium of Milan will host a talk featuring Stefano Boeri as part of the Art for Tomorrow initiative.

Art for Tomorrow is an annual project organized by the Democracy & Culture Foundation, which operates at the intersection of art, democracy, and civic engagement. This year’s conference aims to explore synergies between various creative disciplines, offering a unique platform for cultural dialogue at a time when traditional barriers between professions are dissolving.

The event brings together professionals, experts, and activists, with sessions moderated by journalists associated with The New York Times. Other notable speakers include: Irina Bokova (Director-General of UNESCO), H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al Thani, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Jeff Koons, Elif Shafak, Michael Govan, John Akomfrah, Kamel Mennour, KAWS, Rem Koolhaas, Shirin Neshat, Theaster Gates, Amos Gitaï, Cao Fei, Marina Abramovic, Ai Weiwei, and Andreas Görgen.

In this context, Stefano Boeri will join Tim Marlow (curator and writer), Cloe Piccoli (art critic and curator), and Chris Levine (British visual artist) for a panel discussion regarding the boundaries between art and design. The talk will analyze the aesthetic, social, and market consequences of this “cross-pollination” between genres, questioning whether such distinctions still hold value in the contemporary world.
