On Thursday, October 1, the meeting “Vertical Forests, Future Cities: Timber and Prefabrication as a New Culture of Living” takes place at the Stefano Boeri Architetti headquarters in Milan. It is organized in collaboration with Architecture Insights, with the participation of Simone Marchetti, Senior Researcher at Stefano Boeri Architetti, and Francesca Cesa Bianchi, Partner and Director of the studio.
After welcome remarks from the Architecture Insights team, the meeting continues with talks by experts, designers and companies in the sector, discussing the role of timber and prefabricated building systems in shaping a new way of living that is more sustainable and in dialogue with nature.
Simone Marchetti introduces the themes and moderates the talks “New Models for Sustainable Development” and “Construction 4.0: The Off-Site Challenge”. Francesca Cesa Bianchi gives a 10-minute speech titled “Challenges and Opportunities in 3 Case Studies”.
