green village

Within the Pambianco Design magazine, an article titled “From Urban Furniture to Green Infrastructures: Nature Takes Center Stage in the City” introduces the Green Village project, conceived by Stefano Boeri Architetti in Conegliano, as an example of “nature-inspired architecture.”

Stefano Boeri Architetti’s project for the recovery and conversion of the former Zanussi area in Conegliano, currently a disused but historically and urbanistically significant area for the city, aims to regenerate and return to the community a Green Village, a central place for the enhancement of the territory.

The design proposal focuses on several fundamental objectives, such as enhancing the green system and distributing services to citizens, along with energy efficiency improvements for the complex, soil de-impermeabilization, and the integration of new public and collective functions.

The redevelopment project for the former Zanussi area is therefore a strategic vision, outlining for Conegliano a neighborhood characterized by a high quality of living, linked to a new meaning of a historic village, the possibility of living surrounded by greenery with proximity to the city and the surrounding territory, thanks to the proximity to the railway system and its commercial and entertainment hubs.
