On NerdsWire, a German newspaper, specialised in technology, science and lifestyle, an article reports about the Vertical Forest project in Milan (Boeri Studio, 2014): two residential towers, 80 and 112 metres high, housing 800 trees, 15,000 perennials and 5,000 shrubs.
The article also focuses on the experience of living in the Vertical Forest. “Having plants and trees on the balcony has definitely had a positive impact on my life. Trees create a microclimate and lower the temperature in summer. Thanks to the presence of plants, we use less heating in winter and less air conditioning in summer ”, says Simona Pizzi, one of the first residents of Vertical Forest.
