Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Gregoire, visited Amatrice to pay homage to the victims of the earthquake on August 24th, 2016.
“I’m here to show my friendship to Italian people. The Italian-Canadian community and the entire Canadian population, has been very impressed by what happened here and we want to express closeness” said Truedeau.
The Canadian Prime Minister with his wife and the Mayor of Amatrice, Sergio Pirozzi, had lunch together in the New Refectory for Amatrice.
