After Stefano Boeri announced the project of Nanjing Vertical Forest , the architect designed a more ambitious project: Forest City. The first implementation of the nature-filled city will be in Liuzhou.
The pollution is a main problem in China, Forest City masterplans are envisioned as models of sustainable growth in highly polluted cities.
“We have been asked to design an entire city where you don’t only have one tall building, as Vertical Forest, but you have 100 or 200 buildings of different sizes, all with trees and plants on the facades” Stefano Boeri Said.
