The Hawthorn Tower, designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, will be located in the Jaarbeursboulevard area close to Utrecht Station, where it will form part of the Wonderwoods project.
The 90m-tall structure is one of two mixed-use towers being built in the development; the other is designed by Amsterdam architect MVSA.
Stefano Boeri Architetti describes the tower as “an innovative experience of cohabitation between city and nature”, a new generation of Vertical Forest.
