At Salone del Mobile 2017, five architectural studios were called by FS Sistemi Urbani to imagine a new life for the areas of disused rail yards. One of the five studios were Stefano Boeri Architetti, that proposed Green River, a system of continuous park, forests, oases, orchards and gardens connected by the new subway, M6, with cyclable and walkable corridors. Around the green space were located the residences, study spaces, youth workshops and services for citizens.
