ELABORATOR hosts third plenary meeting in Zaragoza to advance sustainable urban mobility
From June 3 to 6, 2025, the city of Zaragoza, Spain, welcomed partners from across Europe for the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the ELABORATOR project. The four-day event took place at Etopia – Center for Art and Technology, bringing together consortium members, observer cities, and mobility experts to share progress, align on project objectives, and foster deeper collaboration across the different work packages.
ELABORATOR is an initiative funded by the European Union’s Horizon programme, aimed at designing inclusive, safe, accessible, and sustainable urban mobility. The project includes the involvement of the Research Department of Stefano Boeri Architetti, contributing to the achievement of its main goals.
Launched in Athens from June 7 to 9, 2023, ELABORATOR—short for “The European Living Lab on designing sustainable urban mobility towards climate neutral cities”—is a forward-looking research and innovation project funded under the Horizon Europe programme. Its overarching mission is to accelerate the transition of European cities toward climate neutrality through the design and implementation of next-generation urban mobility systems.
The project brings together a diverse consortium of cities, academic institutions, research organizations, urban planners, and private sector partners. By adopting a holistic, interdisciplinary approach, ELABORATOR aims to transform urban mobility ecosystems in a way that prioritizes safety, inclusivity, accessibility, environmental sustainability, and technological innovation.
