On Monday 17 October Stefano Boeri gives an introductory lecture at the SIMPLY GREEN – Greening the City exhibition, organised in 2021 by the DAM Deutsches Architekturmuseum in Frankfurt, temporarily hosted from 14 September to 23 December in Hamburg for the Hamburg Roof Days, in collaboration with AIT-ArchitekturSalon Hamburg and the Hamburg City Authority for Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture (BUKEA).
The exhibition deals with the challenges and opportunities of urban forestation, strategies for implementing greenery in the city and the benefits this brings in terms of mitigating the microclimate and multiplying biodiversity. A prominent role in the exhibition is given to the Bosco Verticale project in Milan, as an example and starting point for green architecture.
