From June 5th to 8th, Tirana hosts the first edition of Bread & Heart, a festival that brings together 150 of the most influential figures in international architecture, with the participation of Stefano Boeri Architetti.
The event aims to be a celebration of Albanian hospitality and its ongoing development, a tribute to architectural achievements, and an invitation to critically reflect on the past and present in order to build a better future for our cities and the environment.
In this context, Stefano Boeri Architetti takes part in the festival’s main events with project presentations, scale models of the studio’s work in Albania, and a specially designed pavilion titled Urban Living, with the support of Domus Group shpk and in collaboration with 3A-Profile Shpk. A special thanks to arch. Edlira Koleci and to Gener 2
The project features the attachment of a lightweight, self-supporting metal structure to an existing tree. Combined with a canopy, a support surface, and continuous seating, it creates a versatile covered space for meetings, rest, or contemplation.
Stefano Boeri Architetti is also presenting a full-scale 1:1 mock-up of a facade module from the Blloku Cube, a European multi-purpose building project developed in the Bllok district.
In addition, a dialogue on Albania’s urban future between Stefano Boeri and Winy Maas, Founding Partner of the Dutch studio MVRDV, will be held on 6 June at 11:10 am.
