
On the occasion of Open House Milano 2025, taking place on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May, the New Policlinico Hospital of Milan will participate by opening its InfoPoint. This will serve as a “permanent window” on the construction site, providing information on the project’s origins, history, and background, along with real-time updates on its progress.
The New Policlinico Hospital project represents the most significant architectural undertaking of the past 90 years, redefining the urban landscape of Milan. The project encompasses the opening of the new Sforza Pavilion and the phased redevelopment of the existing structures, aiming for a sustainable and accessible hospital facility for the city.
The concept revolves around the establishment of a pioneering “health place” that will shape the future, drawing upon a significant past and offering considerable potential for the advancement of scientific, health and educational initiatives.
One of the primary Urban Forestation initiatives planned in Milan is the Roof Garden of the Policlinico, which is enhanced by the added value of its landscape’s chromo-therapeutic potential, showcasing a changing array of essences throughout the seasons. The facility also includes a rehabilitation garden, which is divided into sections by paths of different levels of difficulty, connected by various types of flooring.
