In the TG1 books segment, curated by Angelo Polimeno Bottai, the volume BOSCO VERTICALE, Morphology of a Vertical Forest curated by Stefano Boeri Architetti is presented. This is a comprehensive monograph dedicated to the project, published by Rizzoli on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Milanese project.
From the outset, the design of the two residential towers completed in 2014 by Stefano Boeri (Boeri Studio) in the Porta Nuova district proved to be forward-looking, anticipating new frontiers of urban living. By integrating architecture and living nature for the first time in the world, the Vertical Forest has, over these ten years, been awarded as the best skyscraper in the world and recognized as a symbol of the United Nations’ 11th Sustainable Development Goal.
Various textual contributions by international authors and scholars (Beatriz Colomina, Emanuele Coccia, Paul Hawken, Vittorio Lingiardi, Manuel Orazi, Matilda van den Bosch, James Wines) are accompanied by drawings and sketches, original illustrations by comic artist Enrico Pinto, and photographs of the building across different seasons and years—from its construction to the present (by Laura Cionci, Elisa Galluzzo, Dimitar Harizanov, Giovanni Nardi, Paolo Rosselli), along with an exclusive photographic portfolio by Iwan Baan created specifically for the book.
The book has also been published in the United States in March 2025 by Rizzoli New York.
