Rai News 24 aired a report on the presentation of the book “BOSCO VERTICALE. Morphology of a Vertical Forest“, a comprehensive monograph dedicated to the project, which was presented in celebration of its tenth anniversary.
The presentation took place at the COD (Centre for Openness and Dialogue) in Tirana and included a dialogue between Stefano Boeri and Francesca Cesa Bianchi, partner at the Stefano Boeri Architetti studio. The event began with an opening greeting from Edi Rama, the prime minister of Albania.
The book, published by Rizzoli New York and edited by Stefano Boeri Architetti, traces the history of the project, with an editorial structure that evokes the growth of a tree with its roots, trunk, and branches. The concept stems from a blend of intuition, innovation, and artistic inspiration, fostering a dynamic and creative environment. The trunk corresponds to the project’s genesis, including the challenges faced in structural, technological, and environmental terms, the construction site, and the impact of the Vertical Forest on the transformation of the area and the urban landscape. The branches are integral to the Bosco’s identity. On one hand, the Bosco’s positioning within the realm of international architecture signifies a shift toward integrating living nature into the urban landscape. On the other hand, the Bosco’s autonomous path serves as a symbol and catalyst of biodiversity, even in the collective popular imagination.
