The May 2025 issue of the architecture magazine Architectural Record features, in its Books section, a review of the volume BOSCO VERTICALE, Morphology of a Vertical Forest, edited by Stefano Boeri Architetti—a comprehensive monograph dedicated to the project.
This issue explores six tall buildings that innovate in different ways, including striking new towers in Hong Kong, Milan, Malmö, and the Seattle area. It also includes a tribute to David Childs of SOM, a feature on a Catalonian “cathedral” for robotics, and highlights the House of the Month—a restored 1828 villa in Toronto.
The Books section opens with the publication celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Milan’s Bosco Verticale (Boeri Studio), inaugurated in 2014:
“The Bosco Verticale is a prime example of science put into practice while embracing nature. Acting as a home for humans, birds, butterflies, and various other species, it contributes to an unprecedented level of urban biodiversity with immediate benefits for human health. In the Bosco Verticale, human life and natural ecosystems coexist, a symbiotic relationship that fosters ecological awareness and provides health benefits across the course of life. Future cities should continue along this path to ensure a healthy and peaceful relationship with the natural world to which we belong.”
