From May 19 to 22, the National Forum on Biodiversity takes place, promoted by the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC) as part of Milan’s Biodiversity Week, in which Stefano Boeri takes part in a roundtable titled “Biodiversity Countering Inequalities.”
This year, the Forum focuses on the value generated by scientific findings related to biodiversity, as well as the innovation processes initiated within the NBFC framework. The goal is to highlight the impact NBFC has had in terms of knowledge, tools, training, and innovation in the field of biodiversity. Based on this data, the aim is to identify the most effective tools to generate and measure the value produced, and to define strategic directions to strengthen NBFC in the coming years—enabling targeted support actions for the country.
On Thursday, May 22, the Triennale Milano hosts the session dedicated to Inequalities. At 9:45 AM, the event “Biodiversity Countering Inequalities” features a dialogue between Stefano Boeri, Cristina Messa – medical doctor, Italian politician and former Minister of University and Research – and Telmo Pievani, philosopher specialized in evolution.
Also part of the session is a Short Talk with Emiliano Mori, Jacopo Leveratto, and Simonetta Fraschetti, presenting scientific contributions to the exhibition Inequalities.
Moderators: Maria Chiara Pastore and Massimo Labra.
