
On September 19, at the Mole Vanvitelliana, the Light for Future conference will take place, featuring a keynote by Stefano Boeri.
The event will bring together architects, lighting designers, scientists, and communicators to discuss sustainable design for coastal areas, merging architecture, light, and multidisciplinary visions.
As part of the program, on Friday, September 19, Stefano Boeri will present “Coastal Cities and Archipelagos of Cities,” showcasing a selection of projects by Stefano Boeri Architetti related to coastal territories. The talk will also feature masterplans and urban visions introducing the idea of an “archipelago city” – a city made up of urban villages that are self-sufficient in essential functions (including energy production) yet interconnected and embraced by a shared “sea” of green connection networks.
Other participants include: Andrea Bariselli – neuroscientist and psychologist, expert on human interaction and the Human-Nature relationship; Edwige Pezzulli – astrophysicist and science communicator, expert on black holes in primordial galaxies and researcher on gender inequality in science; Dean Skira – Founder and CVO of Skira Architectural Lighting; Benedetta Tagliabue – architect and director of Miralles Tagliabue – EMBT Architects The conference will be moderated by journalist Marialuisa Pezzali.
During the event, a video of the Passetto light and music project by lighting designer Maurici Ginés (Artec Studio) will be screened.
Participation entitles attendees to 3 Professional Training Credits (CFP) for Engineers, Architects P.P.C., and Surveyors.
