The Stefano Boeri Architetti volume is available as part of the Maestri dell’Architettura e del Design series, published by Corriere della Sera.
The series, edited by Marianna Guernieri, is dedicated to contemporary architects and designers, both Italian and international, featuring photographs and original drawings of their projects, descriptions and comments by experts who explore their style and details.
The monographs celebrate the mark left by each of these contemporary protagonists on city skylines, homes and the imagination: from Gio Ponti to Achille Castiglioni, Herzog & De Meuron and Frank Gehry, among others.
The monograph traces key projects by the studio, including the Vertical Forest, the prototype of a new form of architectural biodiversity that focuses not only on human beings, but also on the relationship between humans and other living species; Villa Mediterranée, a place of interaction between different identities that come from the sea, inaugurated on the occasion of Marseille’s proclamation as European Capital of Culture; Trudo Vertical Forest – which applies the Vertical Forest model to social housing for the first time; and Wonderwoods Vertical Forest – the world’s first vertical forest characterised by the presence of public functions open to citizens, with the aim of making this innovative architectural typology increasingly integrated into the urban fabric and accessible to all.
