SkyTg24, during its evening edition, interviews Stefano Boeri on the occasion of the presentation of the book BOSCO VERTICALE, Morphology of a Vertical Forest, curated by Stefano Boeri Architetti, during Il Libro Possibile in Polignano a Mare.
On Friday, July 11 at 10:15 PM, at Lungomare Domenico Modugno (Largo Gelso), Stefano Boeri presented the book—a comprehensive monograph dedicated to the tenth anniversary of Milan’s Bosco Verticale (Boeri Studio)—published by Rizzoli, in conversation with journalist Francesca Santolini.
The book, curated by the studio Stefano Boeri Architetti, traces the history of the project through an editorial structure that evokes the growth of a tree, with its roots, trunk, and branches. The roots represent the spark of an innovative idea, born from creative and artistic inspirations. The trunk symbolizes the development of the project, the challenges faced in structural, technological, and environmental terms, the construction site, and the impact of the Vertical Forest on the transformation of the area and the urban landscape. Finally, the branches reflect the life of the Forest: on one hand, its positioning within the context of international architecture, marking a shift toward the integration of living nature into the urban environment; on the other, its independent journey as a symbol and catalyst of biodiversity—even within the collective popular imagination.
