{"id":23174,"date":"2018-03-14T11:02:45","date_gmt":"2018-03-14T10:02:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/news\/nanjing-vertical-forest\/"},"modified":"2018-05-16T15:35:36","modified_gmt":"2018-05-16T13:35:36","slug":"nanjing-vertical-forest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/en\/news\/nanjing-vertical-forest\/","title":{"rendered":"the first vertical forest in asia | two green towers under construction in nanjing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The green towers are rising in Nanjing.<\/p>\n<p>Nanjing Green Towers, promoted by Nanjing Yang Zi State-owned\u00a0National Investment Group Co.ltd, will be the first <strong>Vertical Forest<\/strong><b>\u00a0<\/b>built in\u00a0<strong>Asia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Located in the Nanjing Pukou District (an area destined to lead the modernization of southern Jiangsu and the development of the Yangtze River economic area), the two\u00a0towers are characterized by the interchange of green tanks and balconies, following the prototype of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/en\/portfolios\/vertical-forest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Milan\u2019s Vertical Forest<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Along the facades, 600 tall trees, 500 medium-sized trees (for a total amount of 1,100 trees from 23 local species)\u00a0and 2,500 cascading plants and shrubs will cover a 6,000 sqm area. A real vertical forest, contributing to regenerate local biodiversity, that will provide a <strong>25 tons\u00a0of CO2 absorption<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>each year<\/strong> and will produce about<strong> 60\u00a0kg of Oxygen per day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The taller tower, 200 metres high, crowned on the top by a green lantern, will host <strong>offices<\/strong> &#8211; from the 8th floor to the 35th &#8211; and it will include a museum, a green architecture school and a private club on the rooftop. The second tower, 108 metres high, will provide a Hyatt <strong>hotel<\/strong> with 247 room of different sizes (from 35 sqm to 150 sqm) and a swimming pool on the rooftop.
