Issue 649 of Abitare<\/em> (October 2025) includes a feature titled \u201cTirana 2030\u201d<\/strong>, curated by Sara Banti<\/strong>, which focuses on the urban development of the Albanian capital and the ongoing transformation plans. The article describes how the city is currently experiencing a period of intense dynamism, with more than fifty international architecture firms involved.<\/p>\n

In particular, the article revisits the architectural projects currently underway in the city, starting from Tirana 2030<\/strong><\/a>, the master plan drafted by Stefano Boeri Architetti<\/strong> in 2016. The plan encompasses not only the entire metropolitan area of Tirana, but also examines the rail connections with the airport and the port of Durr\u00ebs, public transport and services, green spaces and ecological corridors, new controlled expansion areas, and the enhancement of the city\u2019s architectural heritage and environmental system.<\/p>\n

The article also mentions other projects by Stefano Boeri Architetti<\/strong>, such as Tirana Riverside<\/strong><\/a>, a large urban regeneration project promoting functional and social diversity and welcoming a mix of cultures and backgrounds; Blloku Cube<\/strong>,<\/a> clad in a vibrant three-dimensional mosaic of metal sheets; and Three New Schools<\/strong><\/a>, a project based on the idea of creating new epicenters of neighborhood life \u2014 open places for everyone, of all ages, throughout the year.<\/p>\n
