A place of respect and remembrance, of testimony and exposing, the <strong>Memoriale 14.08.2018<\/strong> and the adjacent Polcevera embankment gardens are built near the former Pile 9 of the Morandi Bridge, an emblematic location in memory of the August 14, 2018 tragedy.<\/p>\n<p>The building, designed by the team of Stefano Boeri Architetti (project group: Marco Giorgio, Sara Gangemi, Anastasia Kucherova, and Daniele Barillari) constitutes the first core of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/en\/project\/parco-del-ponte-in-genoa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">project for the Polcevera Park<\/a>, developed in collaboration with Metrogramma, Inside Outside, and Studio Laura Gatti, which aims at the reconstruction, from an architectural and urban but above all social point of view, of an extremely diverse territory: a quality rebirth in terms of forms and services, designed especially for the people who live and work there, after the tragedy of August 14, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Memoriale 14.08.2018<\/strong> has been envisioned as a place of mourning and at the same time a place of hope, composed of both private and collective spaces: the House of Families; the Museum of Memory; the Bioclimatic Greenhouse, a botanical regeneration space; and the Meeting Point that concludes the visitors&#8217; tour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Memorial 14.8.2018<br \/>\nTemporary Professional Grouping Project: STEFANO BOERI ARCHITETTI (Group leader, design and artistic direction of the Memorial installation, architectural design of the Bioclimatic Greenhouse) with METROGRAMMA MILANO (Architectural design of the House of Families and Museum of Memory), INSIDE OUTSIDE | PETRA BLAISSE (Design of the Memorial Park and artistic direction of the Greenhouse installation), and with Studio Laura Gatti (Agronomy and Environmental Redevelopment of the Memorial Park and Artistic Direction of the Greenhouse Exhibition), Secondo Antonio Accotto (Geologist), MIC &#8211; Mobility in Chain (Mobility, Traffic, Infrastructure), Transsolar Energietechnik (Environmental Comfort and Energy Resilience).<\/p>\n<p>Consultants: SCE Project ( Structural design), United Consulting Engineering (Facility design, acoustics, fire prevention, Safety coordinator during design phase), H&amp;A Associates and Andrej Mikuz (Economic evaluations)<\/p>\n<p>Executive design of the museum layout: Gnosis projects<\/p>\n<p>For more information and updates: <a href=\"https:\/\/smart.comune.genova.it\/comunicati-stampa-articoli\/%C2%A0ponte-morandi-prende-forma-il-memoriale-le-43-vittime\">https:\/\/smart.comune.genova.it\/comunicati-stampa-articoli\/%C2%A0ponte-morandi-prende-forma-il-memoriale-le-43-vittime<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Construction work is moving forward on the Memorial dedicated to the 43 victims of the Morandi Bridge collapse, for which Stefano Boeri Architetti has been appointed as artistic direction.
