On Aljazeera Balkans a reflection on the importance of Vertical Forests and on the presence of greenery in urban planning and in contemporary architectural design. A reasoning on the impact of planting trees that, linked to contemporary design, manifests itself as an opportunity to make room for microclimates and urban ecosystems capable of reducing the impact of fine dust and CO2 emitted into the environment.

Strategic pollution reduction, ad hoc environmental policies and awareness raising present themselves as fundamental issues for the growth of the city of Milan, capable of mixing alternative solutions to practical projects such as ForestaMi. The plan includes the planting of three million trees by 2030, not only to help improving air quality, but also reducing the effect of “urban thermal islands”, increasing biodiversity and increasing the quality of living space.
