It took place in Milan on April 6 at the State University the conference “The reconstruction in Umbria: technology and architecture for the quality of the new buildings.” The meeting was attended by Vasco Errani, Special Commissioner of the Government for reconstruction in the areas affected by the earthquake in Central Italy, Catiuscia Marini, President of the Umbria Region, Stefano Boeri, architect and founder of Studio Stefano Boeri Architectti, Francesco Cellini, architect, and Paolo Belardi, director of the Academy of Fine Arts “Pietro Vannucci” of Perugia, the Regional Director Diego Zurli.
The reconstruction of Amatrice was the focus of the debate, which underlined the importance of immediate action and the need to restore the daily life of the community. “The immediate priority was building educational and productive activities, many of which into the agro-food sector” said the President of the Umbria Region Catiuscia Marini. The special Government Commissioner for the reconstruction of the territories of Centre-Italy Vasco Errani said: “We have to do something complex and unprecedented. We must make culture for prevention and quality design, a pact with the community to the governance and legality”.
