UGC CINEMA MULTIPLEX

March 16, 2001

This multiplies cinema stands in a lot lying between a railroad and an important road (via Emilia), in a territory renowned for its entertainment facilities (Rimini and the seamless touristic conurbation of the Adriatic riviera).

In such a concurrential environment, visibility was a major concern: the building was designed according to the perception one can have of it when passing by on either one of the infrastructures. Each block of the twelve auditoriums is wrapped in a steelplate sheet skin; on this envelope, supergraphic inscriptions and figures identify safety exits and auditoriums, thus revealing something of the interior.
